From December 15thto17th, 9 international students from our university took part in the activity of "Jiangsu Tour of International Students in Yangtze River Delta Universities” in Celebration of the 70thAnniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China. It was held by the Education Departments of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui and the Education Council of Shanghai. More than 160 international students from 15 universities of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui and Shanghai participated in the activity.
During the event, Students visited Jiangbei new area free trade zone, a national level new area, and got to know the construction accomplishments of Jiangsu Province; they went toCRRC Nanjing Puzhen Co., Ltd.,China's high-speed rail construction base, to NARI Group, an excellent enterprise in the field of energy, power and industrial control in China, and to Suning Corporation, a top 3 private enterprise in China, thus admiring the achievements of "intelligent manufacturing" in Jiangsu Province. During the visit, the students were deeply impressed by the achievements of China's scientific and technological development and marveled at the progress of China's science and technology and the achievements China has made in the past 70 years.In addition to experiencing the achievements of scientific and technological development in the Yangtze River Delta region, international students also visited The Memorial Hall of the Victims in Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders and had face-to-face exchanges with those survivors to be better informed of the historical truth. They also went to Hehai University, Nanjing Art College and other universities to conduct academic discussions and cultural exchanges. On the evening of October 16, an art performance was held in Nanjing Art College, in which the international students from our university and the University of Science and Technology of China jointly performed the chorus " To Civilization", which won unanimous praise.
Our university has attached great importance tothe education of Chinese national conditions, Chinese culture for international students, which is not only be an active response to the education integration strategy of Yangtze River Delta but also promote the development of international education of AAU.
