On December 15, the signing ceremony of the third batch of pilot universities for quality accreditation of overseas education in China was held in Beijing. Zhao Lingshan, secretary general of China Education Association for International Exchange(CEAIE), Mao Dongmin, deputy director of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges, Ministry of Education, and other distinguished people attended the ceremony. As the delegate, Professor Jianghong, Director of the International Office andSchool of International Education of AAU, attended the meeting and signed the agreement on behalf of our university.
It is reported thatthis project of quality accreditation for overseas education in colleges and universities of China is promoted by theDepartment of International Cooperation and Exchanges, Ministry of Education with the aim of establishing and improving a healthy and orderly quality assurance system for overseas education in China.China Education Association for International Exchange is commissioned to carry out this projectin colleges and universities throughout the country.Sixty two colleges and universities, including Peking University and Fudan University, have participated in the first and second batch of the project.The third batch of pilots will be launched next year.
In order to standardizeoverseas education affairs andimprove teaching quality and level,AAU has applied for the third batch ofthe project. The qualityaccreditation focuses onparticipating universities’ guiding ideology, teaching hardware, teaching construction, teaching management, student activities, school quality and influence, and school characteristics.Thirty one colleges and universities, including ouruniversity, attended the signing ceremony and will actively prepare forthe accreditation.
