On 20th April, Ethiopian agricultural vocational education officials and members of principal training class of the Ministry of Agriculture came to visit AAU. Wei Aiping, director of Foreign Affairs Department of Commission onAgriculture of Anhui Province, Yan Yuling,Vice Director of Foreign Affairs Department, Jiang Hong,Director of International Office, Sun Zhinong, Associate Dean of School of Foreign Languages extended warm welcome to the delegation and held a discussion with the delegation, with Sun Zhinong being the host.
Wei Aiping gave an overviewof the geological environment, agricultural resources, excellent agricultural products and agriculture-related enterprises of Anhui Province, followed by its agricultural achievement in implementing “going out” strategy. Great emphasiswas put on the development of Anhui agricultural enterprises and the technical service of Anhui agricultural foreign aid experts in Ethiopia. Hereaffirmed the importance in the agricultural cooperation betweenEthiopia andAnhui Province.
Jiang Hong introduced the basics of AAU, including the current situation ofinternational cooperation.and education, Besides, she gave a detailed explanation of admission standards and policiesfor international students along with concerned experience. Sun Zhinong introduced thetalent training and brain reserves strategy of School of Foreign Languages, as well as theachievements made in the aspects of Anhui agriculture “going out”and serving local economy and society are also illustrated.
After the meeting,the participantsexchanged ideas andvisitedthecampus of AAU.
In2018thisEthiopiandelegationvisited colleges and universities, leading enterprises in Jiangsu, Anhui and Jiangxi provinces to learn more about China’s agricultural vocational education system and management experience, so as to deepenChina-Ethiopian relations in terms of agricultural education. The training class consists of4 officialsfrom Ministry of Agriculture and 6Deans from agricultural vocational education colleges.
