OnApril 23rd, 2018, Dr. Martin Bech, the consul ofHigher Education and Technology Innovation CenterofDanish Consulate General in Shanghai, led a delegation to our university for an exchange visit ontechnological innovation,research, development and application of modern green agriculture andhealthybreeding, accompanied by the officials incharge ofInternational Scientific and Technological Cooperation Officeof Anhui Science and Technology DepartmentandAnhui Science and Technology Research Institute. AAU Vice President Yao Zuowen warmly received Martin Bech and his delegation, communicating with them in a meeting presided over by Liu Kai, theDirector of the university office.
Dr. Yao extended his welcome to Martin Bech and his delegation and noted that AAU is vigorously implementing the internationalization strategy, having established stable cooperative relations with universities and research institutes in more than 30 countries and regions. To popularize and apply modern agricultural technology, AAU has established “China-US University-Based Agricultural Extension Alliance” with Colorado State University in the US, building an important platform for cooperation in agricultural scientific research between the two universities and the two countries at large. Dr. Yao expressed his hope that the two sides would strengthen faculty exchanges and technical cooperation in technological innovation,research,development and application of modern green agricultureandhealthy breeding,with a viewto the application oftheadvanced green agricultural technology of Danish universitiesto the comprehensive experimental stations of AAU.
Martin Bech and his delegation expressed their gratitude for the meeting,and commented thathe believed the two sides could strengthen personnel and technical exchange and cooperation in the field of green agricultural development and establish a good cooperative relationship.
Later on,faculty fromthe Research Institute of New Rural Development, International Office, the School of Animal Science and Technology, School of Plant Protection ofAAUheld a discussion with Martin Bechand his delegationon the innovation, research,developmentand theapplication of scientific research achievements of green agricultural technology andhealthybreeding as well.
